A training course isn’t always the right solution for every partner we work with. Whatever our partners need, we are flexible in our approach to ensure we support them to develop their people and achieve their goals. We do this by offering a range of one to one and team coaching services, either as a stand-alone service or alongside a training programme we are delivering for them.
Through coaching we help individuals and teams gain clarity and focus, enabling them to grow and maximise their performance.
We have a selection of trained coaches within our team, with experience of working in a wide variety of sectors. We see our coaches as ‘thinking partners’ for the individuals and teams they work with, empowering others to work on current challenges they are facing and enabling them to develop their skills and capabilities for the future.
Our focus is always on finding the ‘right fit’ for our one to one and team coaching programmes. Should we feel that we do not have the capacity or the right people in our coaching team to work with a specific individual or team, we always put the needs of our coachees first. This may sometimes mean recommending another provider/coach for our partner organisations and coachees to work with. We are not precious about keeping everyone to ourselves, and we like to think that this honest and open approach truly reflects our values and how we do business at Grow!
One to One Coaching
Firstly, we like to get to know every individual we will be working with and understand their ‘why’. This allows us to find out their motivations for engaging in coaching and their overall goals and desired outcomes.
Our one to one coaching programmes are personalised to meet the needs of each individual coachee. Whilst we do typically recommend a minimum of four or six sessions, we are always open and flexible regarding the length of each coaching programme. We will always hold a free of charge, initial chemistry meeting (between the coach and coachee) and we build review, feedback and evaluation into each coaching programme with every individual we work with.
We offer a range of tools allowing the individuals we coach to enhance their understanding of themselves and the relationships they have with others.
Our coaches each have their own unique style and approach, enabling us to offer different types of coaching, to meet the different needs of the individuals we work with. Where we feel that we don’t have the capacity within our team to meet someone’s needs, we will recommend another provider/coach for the coachee.
Often, the limiting beliefs and assumptions that we hold can get in the way of untangling our challenges and achieving our true potential. Through active listening and questioning, our coaches enable the individuals they work with to achieve greater levels of self-awareness. This allows them to open up about their assumptions and understand how they might be holding themselves back. Our coaches encourage their coachees to remain focused on what matters most to them, allowing them to fulfil their overall goals.

Team Coaching
Our team coaching programmes are results driven. We adopt a bespoke and flexible approach, meaning that no two team coaching programmes are the same! There is no pre-set number of team coaching workshops we would recommend, as this depends on each teams’ needs. However, we always recommend an initial pre-meet session with the team. We also end every team coaching programme with a post-meet, involving a thorough evaluation, review and to ‘close the loop’.
Wherever possible and in-line with the needs and wants of the teams we work with, we adopt a ‘systemic’ approach to team coaching. Allowing the teams we coach to focus on their own internal influences and actions, whilst also looking at the broader external influences which impact their team.
During the team coaching workshops, our coaches facilitate the conversations that need to take place to help teams work better together and discover ways to achieve more as a collective whole. We place the emphasis on empowering teams to become ‘high-performing’, enabling them to develop their own direction and share good practice to achieve improved team and organisational performance.
We offer a range of tools to allow teams to enhance their understanding of each other and understand ways they can work more effectively together.

Our Approach
Getting to know each other – otherwise known as our ‘chemistry’ meeting
We want to know that we’re right for you and you’re right for us. This is the foundation of all of our successful partnerships and coaching programmes.
When matching you with one of our coaches, we provide a free of charge 30 minutes ‘chemistry’ meeting. This allows you to speak informally about your aims and expectations of the coaching and the style and approach that you feel you would gain the most benefit from. We use this initial meeting to provide you with an insight into what to expect from your coaching programme with us.
When deciding which members of our coaching team can best help your team achieve their goals through team coaching, one of our team will hold a free introductory meeting with a representative from your organisation to discuss the individuals who are going to be participating in the team coaching and the key aims and objectives to be achieved. We also provide an insight to the partner organisation into what to expect as part of the team coaching programme with us.
Initial Coaching Programme Proposals – sharing our thoughts and suggestions with you
Nothing is set in stone at this point; this is an opportunity for you, as our partner to review our proposals and decide on what works for you and the individual/s or team who will be engaging in the coaching.
We always work with you to design the right coaching programme to meet the needs of the individuals and/or teams we will be working with.
Getting it all signed off – the ‘formal’ contracting stage
In-line with our professional standards, all our coaching programmes (one to one and team coaching) require a coaching contract agreement to be in place before we start the formal coaching sessions.
Our contracting agreements are bespoke, to meet the needs of those we are working with and clearly set out the coaching style and approach to be adopted and detailing the key aims and outcomes to be achieved.
Where we are providing one to one coaching services that are ‘sponsored’ by the organisation, we strongly advise and encourage a representative from our partner organisation to actively engage in the three-way contracting process, to help create transparency and clarity about the purpose of the coaching and its expected outcomes.
The Coaching Programme – where the ‘magic’ happens!
The format and structure of each coaching programme is unique and often evolves over time. However, we will always ensure that the programme is robust enough to meet your initial aims agreed at the outset.
Where relevant, we use a range of coaching and profiling tools to help increase your levels of self-awareness and uncover any ‘blind spots’ which might be holding you back.
With teams, and in agreement with our partners, we make use of a range of tools to help individuals in the team understand themselves and their peers better, enabling them to have more effective working relationships, leading to improved team and organisational performance.
In some of the team coaching programmes we make use of team building workshops, to help build trust and compassion within the team.
Feedback, evaluation and review – the important stuff!
When our partners invest time and money in one to one or team coaching, we want to know it has achieved the outcomes expected.
We work with our partners and the individuals who have participated in the coaching programme to assess the ‘impact’ they feel it has had on them (both professionally and personally) and what return on investment has been achieved.
And…it starts again – hopefully!
Just because the coaching has been successful, that doesn’t mean we stop doing it!
Most of the partners we have worked with will make use of our coaching services again, often for different individuals and teams, but occasionally for the same individuals and teams to help them work on something else.
