We help you to learn, develop, grow and achieve more. If you are feeling unsure about what it is you want to achieve, or which direction you are heading in, then coaching might be just what you need!
At Grow we have our own team of qualified and experienced coaches. Our focus is always on finding the ‘right fit’ for you, so you can get the most out of your coaching sessions. All of our coaches each have their own unique style and approach, enabling us to offer different types of coaching, to meet your needs. Should we feel that we do not have the capacity or the right coach in our team to work with you, we always put your needs first and this may sometimes mean recommending another provider/coach for you to work with. We are not precious about keeping everyone to ourselves, and we like to think that this honest and open approach truly reflects our values and how we do business at Grow!
Our coaches work with you as your ‘thinking partner’, allowing you to focus on what matters most to you, helping you work on current challenges you are facing or to enable you to develop your skills and capabilities for the future.
Often, the limiting beliefs and assumptions that we hold can get in the way of untangling our challenges and achieving our true potential. Through active listening and questioning, our coaches enable the individuals they work with to achieve greater levels of self-awareness. This allows them to open up about their assumptions and understand how they might be holding themselves back. Our coaches encourage their coachees to remain focused on what matters most to them, allowing them to fulfil their overall goals.
If you would like to learn more about our one to one coaching services, please contact us to arrange an initial free chemistry meeting.
We also offer free one to one coaching services, which are provided by our trainee coaches who are attending one of our ILM coaching and mentoring qualifications. See our ‘News & More’ section to find out more about how to access our ‘free’ coaching services.
Through coaching, we help you gain clarity and focus enabling you to grow and reach the goals you want to achieve!
Getting to know each other – otherwise known as our ‘chemistry’ meeting.
We want to know that we’re right for you and you’re right for us. This is the foundation of all of our successful partnerships and coaching programmes.
When matching you with one of our coaches, we provide a free of charge 30 minutes ‘chemistry’ meeting. This allows you to speak informally about your aims and expectations of the coaching and the style and approach that you feel you would gain the most benefit from. We use this initial meeting to provide you with an insight into what to expect from your coaching programme with us.
As part of the ‘chemistry’ meeting we like to get to know you and understand your ‘why’. This allows us to find out about your motivations for engaging in coaching and your overall goals and desired outcomes.
Initial Coaching Programme Proposals – sharing our thoughts and suggestions with you
Nothing is set in stone at this point; this is an opportunity for you to review our coaching programme proposals and you can then decide on what works for you.
We collaborate with you to co-create the right coaching programme to ensure it meets your needs and your budget!
Getting it all signed off – the ‘formal’ contracting stage
In-line with our professional standards, all our coaching programmes require a coaching contract agreement to be in place before we start the formal coaching sessions.
Our contracting agreements are bespoke, to meet your needs and clearly set out the coaching style and approach to be adopted and detailing the key aims and outcomes
to be achieved.
If you are accessing one to one coaching services that are to be funded by your employer, we strongly advise and encourage a representative from your employer to actively engage in the three-way contracting process, to help create transparency and clarity about the purpose of the coaching and its expected outcomes.
The Coaching Programme – where the ‘magic’ happens!
The format and structure of each coaching programme is unique and often evolves over time. However we will always ensure that the programme is robust enough to meet your initial aims agreed at the outset.
Where relevant, we use a range of coaching and profiling tools to help increase your levels of self-awareness and uncover any ‘blind spots’ which might be holding you back.
Feedback, evaluation and review – the important stuff!
Having invested time and money in the coaching, we want to know it has achieved the outcomes you wanted and expected.
Your coach will work with you to assess the ‘impact’ and outcomes of the coaching programme.
And…it starts again – hopefully!
Just because the coaching has been successful, that doesn’t mean we stop doing it!
Most of the coachees we have worked with will make use of our coaching services again, often focused on different topics and goals.
In some cases, our coachees like to continue to work with their coach over a much longer period but on a less frequent basis. This allows them to maintain continuity in their personal growth and development whilst being challenged and supported by their ‘thinking partner’!
For me, coaching was the last resort. I had tried many management training courses and read a lot of management theory books, none of which worked for me. When I had the opportunity to have coaching I was very excited – it sounded like exactly what I needed, and it was! I didn’t have theory and information about becoming a better manager poured into my head, instead Amie asked me a lot of questions, often very challenging and all of which related to developing me and my skills. Amie helped me find my own answers and put together a clear action plan at the end of each session. I found Amie very trusting, open and honest and this meant that during the coaching sessions I could equally be open and honest, which meant I gained a lot more from the sessions. Coaching has had a positive impact on my approach and communication style and I would wholeheartedly recommend Amie as a coach.
I absolutely loved my coaching sessions with Amie. She always made me feel comfortable and in our coaching sessions it was just like speaking with a close friend, but with much better results from our conversations! Amie was very good at encouraging me to look at things from a different perspective to help me understand how my behaviours were getting in the way of me achieving my goals. Amie was never critical, but she did provide me with some very honest and helpful feedback, that I know I would not have received from anyone else. Receiving this feedback helped me to critically self-reflect and start to work on changes that I needed to make to achieve the goals I had set out to achieve in my life.
I found my coaching sessions were a good opportunity to be listened to. I felt that the sessions were a safe space to reflect on my levels of confidence and the conversations really helped me to recognise and admit that sometimes I am the biggest barrier to doing well in my work. I put a lot of pressure on myself and being able to speak openly about this has helped me recognise that to move forward I need to feel more comfortable with not being perfect! There is still some way to go yet until I fully achieve where I want to be, but I am committed to continuing with the coaching until I reach my end goal. Thank you so much for everything you have helped me achieve so far!
Amie has been an incredibly positive influence in my professional development. She’s a great listener, always calm and centered, helping you pinpoint the right steps
to achieve your professional goals. She has helped me unlock my potential for me to become the greatest leader I could be. I love working with Amie, and I would recommend her to anyone that is serious about having a professional coach.
I actually was a little resistant to the coaching at first, as I was slightly nervous about the whole thing. My coach however made me feel instantly comfortable and put me
at ease, making it easy for me to be open and honest about how I was feeling. I had a number of personal barriers to overcome first before focusing on my ‘work issues’,
however my coach took time to listen to me and she was very empathetic and understanding. There were times when I thought she could’ve perhaps challenged me more, but looking back, I can see that if she had done this I would’ve probably crumbled. We built a strong relationship that really helped me move forward in the right direction in my life and in my career. Coaching came into my life at exactly the right moment and I would welcome the opportunity to work with my coach again in the future.
